How We Authenticate

Our Process

How We Authenticate

Every watch we sell passes a rigorous, multi-point authentication process before it's ever listed. Here's exactly what we do — and why you can trust us.

The Authentication Process

01

Physical Inspection

Every watch is examined in-hand under magnification. We assess the case, lugs, crown, caseback, and all external components for originality. No relying on photos alone — hands-on, every time.

02

Dial & Hands Verification

The dial is examined under loupe for printing consistency, correct fonts, original lacquer, and any restoration or tampering. Hands are checked for correct shape, finish, and originality for the reference.

03

Movement Examination

The caseback is opened where possible. We verify the correct calibre for the model, check for service marks, assess condition, and confirm the movement matches the case and serial number range.

04

Reference Verification

Every watch is cross-referenced against period catalogues, collector databases, and known-good examples. Reference numbers, serial date ranges, and configuration details are all verified.

05

Accurate Condition Grading

We apply consistent grading standards. NOS means unworn with no case wear. Old Stock means light patina consistent with age only. We describe every flaw — because our reputation depends on it.

06

Documentation & Full Set

Every listing includes detailed description of all major components — case, dial, movement, clasp, and any imperfections. If a watch does not include full set, we will mention the included.
