The Seiko Prospex SPB143J1 is a modern reinterpretation of Seiko’s first dive watch from 1965, blending vintage-inspired design with modern materials and performance. It retains the classic case profile with updated proportions for contemporary wearability.
Powered by the Seiko Caliber 6R35 automatic movement, the watch provides approximately 70 hours of power reserve, manual winding capability, and a stop-seconds function. It operates with a precision of +25 to -15 seconds per day and includes a date display at 3 o’clock.
The 40.5mm stainless steel case houses a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. With 200m / 20 bar water resistance and a unidirectional rotating bezel, the SPB143J1 is capable of handling diving conditions as well as everyday wear. LumiBrite on hands and markers enhances low-light visibility.
A robust stainless steel bracelet with secure three-fold clasp ensures comfort and durability. This watch captures the spirit of Seiko’s early dive watches while delivering the reliability of modern execution.
